On Second Thought…

On Second Thought...

Just had ANOTHER birthday and happen to catch my profile in the mirror.  That is when it all starts for me.  I see the skin start to get saggy, the eyelids heavy, the beginning of the jowly mouth.  I begin the plastic surgery fantasy all over again.  What if I did this, or that, or tried this peel, or that eyelid lift.  What if money, pain and time were not an issue?  I start fighting with myself about the idea of aging gracefully, naturally.  This time I started perusing before and after pictures on the web.   Then I came upon this site which pretty much flipped the switch into reverse.  It is absolutely mesmerizing and helped me get through another day of just staying the natural course.  Check this out and you will see what I mean:

Robbie, I say you like the rest of us earned every gray , every wrinkle , every flaw but raising great kids and working at a great job *yeah right* I look at myself and say what you see is what you get and it’s not what is on the outside but on the inside. If you can’t see that , then go play with your ‘barbies’

the phrase what’s on the inside is more important than the outside is BS, if someone wants to “fix” or “refresh” themselves, I say go for it! It also doesn’t mean you have to have a full face lift. I say, go down with a FIGHT!

Just remember beauty comes from with in. You can have all the face lifts, tummy tucks and still be a bitch! My mother always said” If you can’t grow old gracefully, don’t grow old” when she passed so did her beauty and grace.
