These are the two wedding bands that Richard Burton gave to Elizabeth upon their marriages in 1964 and 1975. Liz’s museum quality collection of bling, couture and art is on a worldwide tour right now, making stops in Moscow, London, Los Angeles, Dubai, Geneva, Paris, and Hong Kong. It will end at Christie’s Rockefeller Gallery space in New York where it will be displayed (December 3-12), then auctioned off… just in time for the holidays.
For those of you who like to peep in the high-end closets of others, you can see the highlights from the collection by clicking here.
Christie’s has stated that a portion of the money generated by exhibition admissions, events and publications related to the auction of the sale will be donated to The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation which has generously provided funding to AIDS service organizations throughout the world.
Good cause factor is always a plus when shopping.
